release candidate

  1. This development status is given to a program or application that is basically the final product, but there may still be a few bugs lurking in the program. Often this status is referred to as delta (maybe even gamma, or more Greek letters. Also, this status may be split into one other called omega where it is the final product, but it could go into development at any time. This status comes after beta version, and is before the release version.
